Volunteers
North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging is always in need of caring volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for the following positions.
- A Matter of Balance Fall Prevention Coaches – Volunteers work in teams of two to lead a series of eight fall prevention classes that comprise the workshop
- Benefits Counselors – Volunteers help clients understand their Medicare benefits and make decisions regarding supplement coverage, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Part D prescription drug plans
- Senior Medicare Patrol Fraud and Abuse Educators – Volunteers help educate Medicare beneficiaries on ways they can protect themselves from Medicare fraud
- Ombudsmen – Volunteers advocate for the rights of people who live in skilled nursing centers and assisted living facilities
- Taking Control of Your Health Coaches – Volunteers work in teams of two to lead a series of six small-group classes that comprise a workshop and help participants manage diabetes, chronic pain, and other ongoing health concerns
