Note: During the transition to National ALI (ALI-M), the following differences have been noted:

1. ALI-M sends specific ALI messages on ANI failures instead of designating them “No Record Found” (NRF). New messages should be appearing at your PSAP for ANI failures in the ELT fields. For example, 000-000-0000 would show a message in the ELTs of “No address information” for Law, “ANI Failure” for Fire, and “at Central Office” for EMS. In addition, the ESN would be 999 and the Telco ID would be NAT. The ESN is not a routing ESN, but a means to display the ELTs for ANI failures; it is different for each type of failure and is referenced in this document.
2. Since ANI failures which are really network failures are no longer considered NRFs by the system, they are not being reported in the Daily No Record Found report. We are working on creating a separate tab on your daily NRF report that would provide the ANI failures, but at this time, it is a work in progress.
3. The ALI format did not change but what we call it did. The Texas standard format that was ALI Format 71B/T on the old ALI is now called ALI Format 24 on National ALI (ALI-M).
