Development ExcellenceWhat is Development Excellence?

To prepare for the road ahead, the North Central Texas Council of Governments' Strategic Plan for 1999-2003 called for the creation of the Center of Development Excellence. The Center is envisioned as a comprehensive effort to bring together public- and private-sector experts in the environmental, transportation, development, and information analysis fields to address the regional issues and infrastructure concerns of the future.

2009 CLIDE Awards

Celebrating Leadership in Development Excellence (CLIDE) awards. Begun in 2003, the CLIDE Awards recognize projects, developments, and private or public programs that exemplify the region's Ten Principles of Development Excellence. nine recipients from among 35 applicants were honored at the North Central Texas Council of Governments' General Assembly on June 12 at the DFW Hyatt Hotel. As you begin to think about preparing your application for the 2011 awards cycle, we invite you to learn more about CLIDE and previous CLIDE recipients.

Cowboy2010 Public Works Roundup

The 2010 Public Works Roundup was held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the LaQuinta in Arlington. Think green for this annual networking and information-sharing opportunity! We hope you did not miss your chance to "roundup" some good ideas, new connections, and educational hours as North Central Texas combined sustainability and saving money into one day-long event! integrated Storm Water Management (iSWM)™

iSWM™ Design Manual for Site Development is designed to assist the Community in meeting water quality protection, streambank protection and flood control goals by managing stormwater on a site-by-site basis throughout all phases of development. 2009 will bring changes to the region’s integrated Storm Water Management (iSWM) program. A yearlong project to revise and update the iSWM manuals for site development and for construction and design is currently underway. For more information>>>.
