About the Plan

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is the designated regional planning agency for municipal solid waste management planning for the 16-county region.

NCTCOG has worked with local public and private sector leaders and the public to analyze regional information, needs, and issues to amend the Regional Solid Waste Management Plan for North Central Texas. This amendment process has focused on promoting recycling and waste minimization, stopping illegal dumping, and assuring adequate landfill capacity. The result is the SEE Less Trash Plan [Under Revision].
