Industrial BMP Stormwater Manual

The Industrial Stormwater BMP Manual provides general guidance for selecting and implementing Best Management Practices (BMPs) to reduce the discharge of pollutants in runoff from industrial facilities to waters of the state.

The original 1993 Industrial Stormwater BMP Manual was revised in 2003 and now contains a stepwise guide for creating an effective Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP or SWP3) that follows the TPDES General Permit requirements. Although the Industrial BMP Manual is designed as a companion to the General Permit, the methods apply to preparation of a SWP3 for non-permitted industries as well.
