The Stream Team is an interdisciplinary group of experts that provides free advice to local governments on stream management and rehabilitation, especially options for non-structural and softer structural project design that focus on natural stream behavior and function.
Representatives from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Texas Parks & Wildlife, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Geological Survey, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and NCTCOG participate in the Team.
Stream Team Assistance
When assistance is requested, the Stream Team makes recommendations concerning methods for flood control, stream bank erosion control, stream restoration, Section 404 mitigation, and other types of stream corridor, floodplain, wetland, or stream channel projects. Click here for more information.
