PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF COMMITTEE
The Resource Conservation Council provides support and advice to NCTCOG's Executive Board on methods to conserve, recover and recycle valuable resources and to provide proper handling and disposal of nonrecoverable waste materials. It is guiding the development of a regional solid waste management plan.

TERMS OF OFFICE
Members of the Resource Conservation Council serve two year terms, with one half of the members appointed by the NCTCOG Executive Board each year. A Chairman and Vice Chairman are appointed annually by the Board. STANDARD MEETING TIME, DATE, LOCATION
The Resource Conservation Council generally meets on the second Thursday of any month requiring committee action at 1:30 p.m. in the NCTCOG offices. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The committee structure calls for membership from the of local governments, the private sector and environmental and public interest groups.
