Landscape Ordinance Workshop
The North Central Texas Council of Governments will be hosting a Landscape Ordinance Workshop in early September. This workshop will focus on developing and amending ordinances to support water conservation and the use of Texas SmartScape plants. Green Building - From Lighting to Landscape
On Wednesday, July 19, 2006, Professors Michael Garrison and Samantha Randall from the University of Texas at Austin will be speaking of a process that integrates ecological design with contemporay asethetics. They will present case studies showing integrated technologies of energy-efficient lighting design, passive solar, solar inducted ventilation, regenerative water and waste management systems, and other low-tntropy building systems. The lecture will be at The Beck Group Office, 1807 Ross Ave., Suite 500, Dallas, Texas 75201, networking/check-in will be at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 12:00. The cost is $5.00 for North Texas Chapter Members and $15.00 for non-members. Please RSVP to rsvp@usgbcnorthtexas.org. Lunch will be provided with RSVP and parking is free at the garage adjacent to the Beck office.
