Interagency North Texas Stream Team to hold Seminar

A professional development seminar on Restoration and Management of Riparian Corridors, presented by the Interagency North Texas Stream Team in cooperation with the North Central Texas Council of Governments and Texas Christian University, through support from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Dunaway Associates, L.P., Huitt-Zollars, and PBS & J. 8th Annual EPA Region 6 MS4 Operator's Conference

The EPA MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) Operators Conference was held last week and attendance was excellent; in fact, it was the largest crowd ever at an MS4 conference. Kaufman County Citizens' Collection Station

Availability of garbage collection services varies dramatically across the region. In the urban areas we take weekly trash pick-up for granted but in rural areas, residents may have to rely on facilities known as "collection stations" or infrequent County Clean-up days. Such is the case in many parts of Kaufman County where the North Central Texas Council of Governments is currently working to provide a collection station to the rural and underserved southern portion of the county, just north of the town of Kemp.
