NCTCOG Signs Partnership
Agreement with ULI
The successful Vision North Texas public-private partnership has been further strengthened with the recent signing of a partnership agreement between NCTCOG and ULI - the Urban Land Institute.
Vision North Texas has successfully expanded the public dialogue about choices available to the Dallas-Fort Worth region as it accommodates anticipated growth. Decisions made today about regional development patterns, and the public and private investments that result from these choices, will determine the region’s ability to be successful and sustainable in the long-term.
The Urban Land Institute is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to provide responsible leadership in the use of land in order to enhance the total environment. Founded in 1936, the institute has more than 28,000 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service. ULI has a very active North Texas District Council that was instrumental in initiating the first phase of Vision North Texas.
NCTCOG is soliciting the local government funding share in support of Vision North Texas Phase 2, and is providing the professional and administrative support with a contracted project manager. Under the Partnership Agreement, ULI will solicit funds and contributed services from the private sector and others, and provide to NCTCOG. Equally important, ULI will be incorporating our needs into their own vast research and outreach initiatives.
