NFIP Agent/Lender Training Feb. 13
The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), in cooperation with FEMA Region VI and H2O Partners, Inc., is pleased to offer this valuable training. These sessions are scheduled for Monday, February 13, 2012. Both sessions will be held in the William J. Pitstick Executive Board Room located on the first floor in the Centerpoint II NCTCOG Office Building at 616 Six Flags Drive, Arlington Texas 76011.
NFIP Agent Training – 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
This seminar quickly addresses basic flood insurance issues and focuseson more advanced flood insurancecomponents. At the conclusion of this seminar, attendees with little or no prior NFIP experience willunderstand important components regarding the flood insurance policy. More experienced attendees will develop an even better understanding of:
- Standard Flood Insurance Policy's major coverage areas,
- FEMA's Elevation Certificate,
- Grandfather Rules,
- PRP Eligibility Extension, and
- much more!
This seminar is approved for 3 hours of Texas continuing education credit. It meets the minimum flood insurance training requirements for this state.
NFIP Lender Training – 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
This seminar addresses basic flood insurance issues as well as some more detailed components. At the conclusion of this seminar, attendees with little or no prior NFIP experience will understand how to build a flood insurance policy from the ground up. Topics to be covered include:
- Standard Flood Insurance Policy's major coverage areas,
- FEMA's elevation certificate,
- Grandfather Rules,
- Increased Cost of Compliance coverage,
- Preferred Risk Policy,
- Rating elements, and
- Condominiums.
