Combined Elected Officials Floodplain Seminar/CRS Users Group Meeting

Description:

The annual Combined Elected Officials Floodplain Seminar and CRS Users Group is scheduled for August 23rd, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. from Blue Mesa Grill, with a vegetarian option. The meeting is free to attend; the lunch option costs $15 and is payable with credit card at the time of registration.

The first half of the meeting is specifically targeted toward elected officials in our region, where we will present NCTCOG programs that provide floodplain related resources for communities. Elected Officials should attend in addition to any city/county staff that are already attending our CRS User’s Group meeting.

Seminar topics will be:

  • What is NCTCOG Doing to Help Your Communities with Floodplain Issues?
  • Texas Water Development Board Resources for Communities

The Floodplain Administrators/Community Rating System (CRS) Users Group portion of the meeting will cover the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Reauthorization and the changes to the new 2017 CRS Manual. Two (2) CECs for Certified Floodplain Managers will be available for this meeting.

Time:  11:30 AM - 02:30 PM

Cost:   This event is free, but there is a charge for lunch.

Space is limited to 100 people.

Other Comments:  Please pay for the lunch option with a credit card during registration. We will not be able to accept cash at the event.
