The Department of Emergency Preparedness is primarily focused on facilitating emergency management in North Central Texas. We are funded by a wide variety of
federal grants with emphasis on Homeland Security
grant programs. There are many professional and technical services the Department
can economically provide to program members that exceed the scope of available grant programs. Some of those services include but are not limited to:
- Comprehensive Emergency Management Program Support
- Assist in meeting state and federal requirements
- Assist with grant writing and grant management for a wide variety of grants
- Schedule, procure, and provide a variety training topics
- Provide supplemental administrative support personnel for your Emergency
- Management efforts during major emergencies
- Regional Risk Assessment
- Regional Hazard Assessment Tool
- Economic Impact Analysis
- Meetings, Workgroups, and Special Event Facilitation
- Provide online invitation & RSVP services
- Provide rosters/contact data base assistance
- Provide meeting set up, meeting minutes
- Provide a variety of administrative support services
- Personnel & equipment resource support for special events
- Technology Support for Regional Emergency Management
- GIS mapping, copies of maps, and lamination of maps (See Map Request Form)
- Implementing new efforts in GIS data layer collection
- Webpage hosting for regional special projects
- Listserv hosting and management
- Provide contacts and distribution services through contacts resource management
programs/software
- Advocacy and Liaison Services
- 24 Hour Point of Contact Directory (electronic), hard copy by request
- Cooperative Purchasing Service
- Exercise Planning Assistance
- Grant Training
- Membership Website
