Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP)

The City of Fort Worth Office of Emergency Management received an award through the FY07 SHSG to expand the SNAP project into the 16 counties of the NCTCOG.  The goal of the regional project is to develop a method by which jurisdictions and agencies can capture information on individuals with special needs within their communities.  An advisory committee will be formed and direct implementation of the program.

The regional project will be developed in several phases:

  • Phase I - Identify committee members – 1st committee meeting January 23, 2008
  • Phase II – Develop Regional Requirements  (website design, telephone numbers)
  • Phase III – Modify website and develop new brochures
  • Phase IV – Test the website and administrative functions
  • Phase V – Sign inter-local agreements
  • Phase VI – Official rollout of the Regional SNAP Program

4.  Training $10,000.00
5.  Marketing  $20,000.00
