To date, the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington (D/FW/A) Urban Area (UA) has received in excess of $100 million in Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) funds.  The UASI Program provides financial assistance to address the unique planning, equipment, training, and exercise needs of high-threat, high-density urban areas, and to assist them in building and enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, respond to, and recover from threats or acts of terrorism.  The UA includes the three core cities of Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington and the metropolitan counties of Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant.  The NCTCOG is providing assistance to the core cities and their contiguous partners with program management and strategy implementation on this project.
