In the North Central Texas region, 1,613 companies with 250 or more employees combine to employ 1,059,108 persons. The following list summarizes the top 100 employers in the region. To summarize Major Employers by city or county, click here.

NCTCOG's employment inventory is based on location rather than company-wide totals. Therefore, some firms may have multiple listings, one for each site with 250 or more employees. In addition, large firms that do not have a single location with this minimum employment size are not included in the inventory. An employment establishment may consist of a single building or a collection of adjacent buildings occupied by one employer, such as a college campus or business park.

While these data are continually being updating using information from a variety of sources, the last major update to the database occurred in early 2005. In general, the data should be no older than 2005, while some entries may be more recent.
