Therefore, the numbers above correspond specifically with ozone concentrations. They are not an indication of the overall Air Quality Index (AQI). For a more detailed explanation of AQI and its components please refer to one of these Web sites: EPA AIRNow, or National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).  Ozone levels have been mapped to colors based on a projected eight-hour average calculated from the measured one-hour levels.
