Blue Skyways Collaborative |
The Blue Skyways Collaborative is a multi-state effort led by the Environmental Protection Agency that seeks to achieve voluntary reductions in emissions and increases in efficiency through innovation and cooperative efforts. Many projects target diesel engines, renewable energy sources, and alternative fuels. The effort, which started in February 2006, currently includes ten states: Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.
The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) became a Blue Skyways Collaborative Community in June 2006.
