Construction Fleets Initiatives |
 Construction equipment produces approximately 10 percent of all ozone-causing emissions in North Texas. To improve air quality, the Regional Transportation Council, through the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is developing a policy that targets this source of emissions. Public agencies will be encouraged to adopt the policy for public works projects to encourage the use of cleaner equipment and best operating practices.

On June 25, 2009, NCTCOG held a stakeholders workshop to solicit feedback from interested parties, including both industry representatives and local governments. Materials from this workshop are available below.
