Clean Fleet Vehicle Call for Projects |
The Regional Transportation Council (RTC), serving as the transportation policy board of the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, periodically offers funding for clean vehicle projects in the region. The most recent funding opportunity was the Clean Fleet Vehicle Call for Projects issued in April 2006. Through this grant program, the RTC provided funding to public sector entities for clean vehicle projects that reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the ozone nonattainment area. Eligible project types included new purchases, replacements, retrofits, repowers, and conversions of heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles.
RTC included adoption of the RTC Clean Fleet Vehicle Policy as an eligibility requirement for the 2006 Clean Fleet Vehicle Call for Projects. Additional details regarding eligibility requirements, eligible project types, and emphasis areas are available in the Call for Projects Specifications [PDF] . RTC evaluated all proposals and awarded funding in October 2006.
