 The North Central Texas Region currently violates the federal air quality standard for the pollutant ozone. The North Texas Green & Go Partnership is one of many ongoing efforts and initiatives that addresses major emission sources that contribute to the formation of ozone. The partnership encourages the purchase and use of low emitting, green taxicabs and limousines, which release fewer pollutants into the air. This helps improve air quality, protect public health, and preserve the environment.
Green taxis and limos are being found across the country including North Texas. A recorded list of taxi and limo companies with green vehicles can be obtained by dialing toll-free 1-877-HAIL-GREEN.
