2008 Call For Projects

Grants were available to schools, school districts, and school bus operators to reduce emissions from school bus fleets in the 16-county NCTCOG services area. Eligible activities may hve included vehicle replacement, engine repower, and engine/exhaust system retrofit that result in a reduction in nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions of 25 percent or greater. To be eligible for funding, entities must have adopted the Clean Fleet Vehicle Policy prior to November 14, 2008. Projects will be selected on a competitive basis with emissions reductions, cost-effectiveness, and implementation timeframe as the predominant scoring criteria. Refer to the NCT Clean School Bus Guidelines for more information on eligibility requirements and project details.
