Heavy-Duty Vehicle and Equipment Grant Program |
The North Central Texas Council of Governments partnered with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to fund clean vehicle, equipment and technology projects through the Heavy-Duty Vehicle and Equipment Grant Program (HDVEGP). The program sought to reduce emissions from heavy-duty engines in the region as well as educate public and private entities on available clean technologies and fuels.
The program was originally open from July 2009 to June 2010 with approximately $11.6 million available. The program reopened to expend remaining funds, and closed April 8, 2011.
