 The North Central Texas Region currently violates the federal air quality standard for the pollutant ozone. The North Texas Green & Go Clean Taxi Partnership is one of many ongoing efforts and initiatives that addresses major emission sources that contribute to the formation of ozone. The partnership encourages the purchase and use of low emitting, green taxicabs, which release fewer pollutants into the air. This helps improve air quality, protect public health, and preserve the environment.
Green taxis are being found across the country including North Texas. A recorded list of taxi companies with green taxicabs can be obtained by dialing toll-free 1-877-HAIL-GREEN. The menu options allow you to be connected to the company of choice. This list may also be viewed below.
