Mobility 2030: The Metropolitan Transportation Plan for the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, 2009 Amendment was adopted on April 9, 2009 by the Regional Transportation Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
The recommendations contained within Mobility 2030 – 2009 Amendment meet air quality requirements. A favorable air quality conformity determination by the U.S. Department of Transportation was received in August 2009.
The 2009 Plan Amendment is the result of continued cooperation between elected officials, community leaders, transportation providers, planners, and engineers. The 2009 plan is the defining vision for transportation systems and services in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area. Mobility 2030 – 2009 Amendment is a comprehensive, multi-modal blueprint for transportation systems and services aimed at meeting the mobility and financial needs of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It outlines the expenditure of nearly $71 billion of federal, state, and local funds expected to be available for transportation improvements through the year 2030. It also recognizes the heightened awareness of the growing concerns for improved air quality, public acceptance of major transportation facilities, and the need for adequate financial resources
