Mobility 2030: The Metropolitan Transportation Plan for the Dallas-Fort Worth Area is the current Metropolitan Transportation Plan for the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Mobility 2030 is the defining vision for transportation systems and services in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area. The plan was approved in January 2007 by the Regional Transportation Council (RTC), and the recommendations contained within Mobility 2030 received a favorable air quality conformity determination by the U.S. Department of Transportation in June 2007.
Mobility 2030 is a comprehensive, multi-modal blueprint for transportation systems and services aimed at meeting the mobility and financial needs of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It outlines the expenditure of nearly $71 billion of federal, state, and local funds expected to be available for transportation improvements through the year 2030. It also recognizes the heightened awareness of the growing concerns for improved air quality, public acceptance of major transportation facilities, and the need for adequate financial resources.
