Regional Transportation Council Public Meetings |
 The NCTCOG Transportation Department holds periodic public meetings to educate, inform and to seek comments from the public on various transportation and air quality issues.
The meetings are held in accordance with the NCTCOG Transportation Public Involvement Procedures, which became effective June 1, 1994, as approved by the Regional Transportation Council (RTC), the transportation policy body for the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), and as amended in May 2007.
Comments are solicited from those present at the meeting who wish to speak for the record and any other citizens who wish to submit comments in writing during the 30-day period following each meeting.

– Tower 55
Tower 55 is the busiest at-grade railroad intersection in the country, and it is located below the I.H. 30/I.H. 35W interchange. It is undergoing an environmental assessment study to improve air quality, safety and movement. The public is invited to learn about potential railroad and roadway improvements associated with Tower 55. <More>
The same displays, maps and information will be at both public meetings. Displays and maps will also be available for review at an open house from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Staff will be at the open house to answer questions and provide additional information.
Deadline for public comment is Aug. 13, 2009.
