METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLANNING CERTIFICATION REVIEW LISTENING SESSIONS
The U.S. Department of Transportation regularly conducts a certification review of the Regional Transportation Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments in its role as the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Public comment was part of the certification review process. The comment period ran through May 30, 2009.

Tower 55 is the busiest at-grade railroad intersection in the country, and it is located below the I.H. 30/I.H. 35W interchange. It is undergoing an environmental assessment study to improve air quality, safety and movement. The public is invited to learn about potential railroad and roadway improvements associated with Tower 55. <More>
The same displays, maps and information were presented at both public meetings. Displays and maps were also available for review at an open house from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Staff was at the open house to answer questions and provide additional information.
