2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program

Within metropolitan areas across the country, regional transportation projects are tracked through Transportation Improvement Programs. The Transportation Improvement Program or TIP is a staged, multi-year program of projects approved for funding by federal, state, and local sources within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The TIP contains projects with committed funds in fiscal years 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.  Project listings are financially constrained to available resources. 2011-2014 TIP

Every two to three years, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), local governments, and transportation agencies, develops a new TIP.  The 2011-2014 TIP was approved by the Regional Transportation Council on June 3, 2010 and federal and state approval is anticipated by early Fall 2010.
