The class describes the creation and development of a disaster plan for an organization. The disaster plan is required by law in order to protect all records in the custody of a government. The Disaster Plan details establishing the plan and then activating the plan when a local or widespread disaster occurs. The class continues with an analysis of records damage, recovery of records, and recovery processes applicable to various media. Finally, concluding with an assessment of the effectiveness of the plan. The class includes offering to students a generic disaster manual they can edit for customizing to their respective governments. This is a 3-hour course. All levels of records managers. The instructor is a Certified Records Manager(CRM).
