Participants in this session will explore a five step method to problem solving, discuss current practices in organizations regarding addressing problems before they escalate and analyze the importance of identifying all possible alternative solutions before implementation.  Strategies on implementing creative problem solving methods will be discussed and the skill of bench-marking will be examined.


At the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Define the concept of problem solving
  • Identify different problem solving styles
  • Identify methods appropriate for solving problems
  • Apply methods to specific problems
  • Demonstrate how to determine the true problem in any problem solving situation
