NCTCOG Information Related to the Infrastructure For Rebuilding America (INFRA) Grant
The Infrastructure For Rebuilding America (INFRA) program provides dedicated, discretionary funding for projects that address critical issues facing our nation’s highways and bridges. INFRA grants will support the United States Department of Transportation's (USDOT) commitment to fixing our nation’s crumbling infrastructure by creating opportunities for all levels of government and the private sector to fund infrastructure, using innovative approaches to improve the necessary processes for building significant projects, and increasing accountability for the projects that are built.
The USDOT announced the INFRA discretionary grant program on June 29, 2017. The INFRA program has made approximately $1.5 billion available to projects that help rebuild America’s crumbling infrastructure. In addition to providing direct federal funding, the INFRA program aims to increase the total investment by state, local, and private partners.
