McKinney - Craig Ranch
Craig Ranch is a master planned community just north of the Sam Rayburn Tollway in McKinney. At the center of the 2,200-acre greenfield development is the Town Center that is home to retail shops with residences above, offices and civic buildings. Craig Ranch Town Center contains a golf course, the Cooper Clinic Aerobics Center, the Michael Johnson Performance Training Center, and the Craig Ranch Hospital. The Town Center has approximately 200,000 sq. ft. of office, 280,000 sq. ft. of retail, and 320 apartments built above the retail stores. Ballfields at Craig Ranch is located to the east of the Town Center with 12 baseball and softball fields, 19 soccer fields, and the Craig Ranch Dr. Pepper Stars Center.
Under the 2001 Land Use Transportation Joint Venture Call for Projects, NCTCOG funded $2,312,637 with additional funding from the City of McKinney for street construction in the Town Center. The streets that were funded by NCTCOG included Henneman Way, Hogan Way, TPC Drive, and Weiskopf Avenue.
