Dallas - Edison/Hi-Line
This project is a high-rise mixed-use development with residential apartments and ground-level retail and restaurant spaces. It is located in the Design District served by bus and rail transit which connects the area to the Victory entertainment district, Medical District and Downtown Dallas. The project includes 314 residential units, 32,785 sq. ft. of retail and office space, and 38,900 sq. ft. of open space.
The infrastructure project was funded through the 2009-2010 Sustainable Development Call for Projects. NCTCOG funded $1,151,063 with a local match of $287,766 from the City of Dallas for pedestrian amenities, landscaping and signage improvements on Edison Street, Hi Line Drive, and underpass improvements at IH 35 and Hi Line Drive. The infrastructure project connected the mixed-use development to nearby Katy Trail, Santa Fe Trail, DART rail station, and the American Airlines Center.
