Lewisville - Old Town Plaza

Old Town Plaza is an open space redevelopment project in historic downtown Lewisville. The project, located a half-mile west from the DCTA Old Town Commuter Rail Station, includes construction of a public plaza across the street from the City Hall. The plaza improves the pedestrian experience in the downtown area by enhancing the connection between retail spaces, City Hall and the Lewisville Arts Center.

The mixed-use development for this project included 141 townhome units with an average size of 1,800 square feet. The 36,000 square foot Lewisville Grand Theater and Arts Center sits on the west side of the plaza.

Old Town Plaza was funded through the 2001 Land Use and Transportation Joint Venture Program and continued through the 2009-10 Sustainable Development Call for Projects. NCTCOG awarded $1,440,000 with a local match of $360,000 from the City of Lewisville.
