North Central Texas Clean School Bus Program 2012 Call for Projects [Deadline:  March 16, 2012]
Applications for school bus projects are now being accepted for NCTCOG's Clean School Bus 2012 Call for Projects. Eligible projects include replacement, repower, retrofit, and idle-reduction projects that cut emissions of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx).

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality- Clean Transportation Triangle Grant Program [NEW]
[Deadline: April 17, 2012, 5pm Central Time]
The TCEQ Clean Transportation Triangle Grant Program has up to $4.5 million in grant funding to support the development of a network of natural gas fueling stations. Grant funding will be awarded to eligible entities who intend on building natural gas fueling stations along the interstate highways connecting Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Fort Worth. TCEQ will host a grant application workshop February 9, 2012 at TCEQ Headquarters in Austin, TX.

AirCheck Texas Drive a Clean Machine Program 
[Accepting Applications for Vehicle Repair Assistance]
This program is designed to help owners of high-emitting vehicles comply with vehicle emissions standards and contribute to improving regional air quality by offering financial incentives to remove these vehicles from the roadways. Up to $600 for emissions repair assistance is currently available. Recipients must meet income requirements and vehicles must meet certain conditions.

Cascade Sierra Solutions Financing Opportunities
[First-Come, First-Served]
Cascade Sierra Solutions (CSS) is offering financing to assist with truck and/or trailer replacements, SmartWay verified equipment upgrades and other clean diesel retrofits for in-use vehicles. Trucks based and operating anywhere in the United States are eligible to apply.

Clean Cities National Parks Initiative
[OPEN]
The US Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program and the US Department of the Interior’s National Park Service (NPS) are accepting proposals for transportation-related projects that use renewable and alternative fuels, electric drive and advanced vehicles, and fuel-saving initiatives and reduce petroleum use and benefit air quality.  Individual NPS units must work with one or more Clean Cities coalition during the project-development process. Community Development Transportation Lending Services (CDTLS)
CDTLS is providing financial assistance to truck drivers under the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) SmartWay Clean Diesel Finance program. Loans are available to help smaller trucking firms purchase used trucks that have been or will be upgraded with emission-reduction and/or idle-reduction technologies which have been verified by EPA SmartWay or California Air Resources Board (CARB).

The Department of Energy's Alternative Fuel and Advanced Vehicles Data Center maintains a comprehensive listing of Federal and State incentives and laws related to clean vehicles and fuels.

Growth Energy Market Development - 2010 Ethanol Pump Program
[First-Come, First-Served]
Growth Energy is offering grants to vendors who install or convert refueling equipment to offer ethanol blends. Vendors offering E85 can receive up to $2,500; vendors who install blender pumps that offer both E85 and E30 can qualify for up to $5,000.  The application form is available here.

H-GAC Drayage Loan Program
[First-Come, First-Served]
The H-GAC Drayage Loan Program is eligible to independent owner operators and trucking companies servicing the Ports in the H-GAC region. Qualifying applicants can apply for financing to replace their older drayage trucks with cleaner, safer and more fuel efficient models, and may receive loans between $5,000 and $100,000 to cover the difference between the cost of the vehicle and incentive grant.

Shorepower Truck Electrification Project (STEP)
[Deadline: March 31, 2013]
The U.S. Department of Energy has partnered with Cascade Sierra Solutions to fund the installation of truck stop electrification (TSE) parking at 50 locations along the nation's busiest freight corridors. The STEP program is seeking major truck stop locations interested in supporting TSE infrastructure.  Additional funding to support the use of TSE sites is available through a rebate for eligible idle reduction devices that use electric standby operation or battery power to eliminate engine idling. Up to 20 percent of the purchase and installation cost of eligible equipment that can connect to the power grid or operate on battery power is available under the STEP rebate program.

SmartWay Finance Center
[Open]
EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership includes a new financing resource where buyers of clean trucks and other emissions and fuel-saving technologies can submit one application and have multiple lenders compete for their business. The SmartWay program has consolidated interested private lenders into one network where they can view applications from buyers seeking cleaner and more fuel efficient vehicles and equipment. For more information on the EPA SmartWay Program, see www.epa.gov/smartway.
