CERTT Program
The Certification of Emerging and Reliable Transportation Technology (CERTT) Program was established by the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) to connect providers of innovative transportation technology with our partners in local governments throughout the region.
Timeline
- May 2022 – RTC approved Policy P22-02 establishing the CERTT Program
- September 2022 – RTC approved Round 1 of engagement with cities to consider TransPod and JPods technology
- December 2022 – NCTCOG provided proposals from three cities to Round 1 technology providers
- February 2023 – RTC approved Round 2 of engagement with cities to consider Swyft Cities technology
- April 2023 – NCTCOG approved proposals from four cities to Round 2 technology providers
Current Round Information
NCTCOG is continually accepting applications from technology providers to be considered for future rounds of the CERTT Program. Successful applications will advance to the next step and a new round schedule will be developed and posted.
Previous Rounds
CERTT Round 1 connected local governments with two transportation technology providers: TransPod and JPods.
Round 1 Info Packet
NCTCOG received applications from three entities for CERTT Round 1 and has released the submittals to TransPod and JPods. NCTCOG is working with technology providers and local governments on opportunities to advance promising proposals.
CERTT Round 2 connected local governments with Swyft Cities.

NCTCOG received 10 submittals from four cities for CERTT Round 2. NCTCOG is working with technology providers and local governments on opportunities to advance promising proposals.
