ENERGY STAR Building Portfolio Manager and Benchmarking
The ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is an online performance benchmarking tool that allows the measurement and tracking of energy usage, water consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions of any building (or a portfolio of buildings). Learn more about ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
EPA Clean Energy Program
The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) renewable energy and energy efficiency programs are designed to help energy consumers in all sectors, state policy makers, and energy providers by providing objective information, creating networks between the public, and private sector and providing technical assistance. EPA also offers recognition to leading organizations that adopt energy efficiency and renewable energy policies and practices.
SECO Technical Assistance
Looking for help with your energy or water management? The State Energy Conservation Office's (SECO) Local Governments Energy Program can provide free assistance with various aspects of an organization's energy and water efficiency. They can also assist with the identification and implementation of a wide range of energy and water-related facility and infrastructure upgrade and retrofit initiatives. Solar Ready II
In 2013 and 2014 NCTCOG participated in the U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Ready II program by partnering with the National Association of Regional Councils, the Mid-America Regional Council, and Meister Consultants Group. NCTCOG worked with local governments and interested parties to implement best management practices and provide training for solar energy in the DFW region. The goal of this project was to improve the DFW solar market by providing a more streamlined and standardized solar process. Visit www.gosolartexas.org/local-governments for more information.
SPEER
The South-central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource (SPEER) is a regional energy efficiency organization (REEO) with a mission to accelerate the adoption of advanced building systems and energy efficient products & services in our region, Texas and Oklahoma.
National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO)
The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) is the only national nonprofit organization representing the governor-designated energy directors and their offices – the State Energy Offices – from the 56 States and Territories across the nation. Formed by the states in 1986, NASEO facilitates sharing of best practices among states, serves as a technical and policy resource for states, and advocates the interests of State Energy Offices to Congress and federal agencies.
