This is an image of a group of people gathered at a deskHave we heard from you? Citizen, local government, and private sector input impacts decisions about transportation and air quality policies, programs and plans for North Texas. After all, these decisions determine how North Texans live and travel in the 12-county Dallas-Fort Worth area. NCTCOG invites and encourages all North Texans, including those traditionally under served by transportation, to share ideas and opinions.

As the federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the NCTCOG Transportation Department and Regional Transportation Council are together responsible for developing, coordinating and allocating funding to transportation plans and related air quality projects.

The Public Participation Plan details more about how groups and individuals can be involved. Additionally, NCTCOG proactively seeks to educate and engage North Texans in the transportation planning process. It is expected that by 2040, 11 million people will call North Texas home. Meeting the mobility needs of today and tomorrow requires coordination and collaboration.
