Volunteer Opportunities
The North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging is always in need of caring volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for the following positions.
- A Matter of Balance fall prevention coaches
Volunteers work in teams of two to lead a series of eight fall prevention workshops.
Volunteers help clients understand their Medicare benefits and make decisions
regarding supplements, Medicare Advantage Plans, and Part D prescription drug
plans.
- Fraud and abuse educators
Volunteers help educate Medicare beneficiaries on ways they can protect themselves from Medicare fraud.
- Nutrition helpers
Volunteers deliver meals to individuals’ homes or assist at group meal sites.
Volunteers advocate for the rights of people who live in skilled nursing facilities and
assisted living facilities.
Virtual volunteer training is scheduled for April 20 through
June 20, 2021.
Volunteers work in teams of two to lead a series of six small-group workshops that help
participants manage diabetes, chronic pain, and other on-going health concerns.
