HUD Opportunity Zones 2.0

Ashlea Quinonez (Region VI HUD Administrator) and Erich Yost (Opportunity Zones Lead for HUD) will present on Opportunity Zones 2.0.

They will provide information and resources to help local communities submit eligible tracts for consideration and designation as an Opportunity Zone.

Opportunity Zones is federal incentive program that encourages long-term private investments in designated low-income communities by giving investors tax benefits for investing in real estate projects and operating businesses. Investors receive tax incentives in the form of deferral and elimination of state and federal capital gains taxes.
