Hybrid meeting to be held Nov. 9; public comments accepted through Dec. 8

Nov. 5, 2026 (Arlington, TEXAS) – The Regional Transportation Council (RTC) invites residents to provide input on transportation updates and funding initiatives during a hybrid public meeting at noon on Monday, Nov. 9.

The meeting will be held at the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) offices, 616 Six Flags Drive in Arlington. Those unable to attend in person can view the meeting online at PublicInput.com/nctcogNov26. North Texans can also participate by calling 855-925-2801 and entering code 2384. Public comments will be accepted through Tuesday, Dec. 8.

RTC staff will provide information on the North Texas Zero Emissions Vehicle Call for Projects, in which $55.4 million is available for public and private fleets to replace existing heavy-duty vehicles powered by gasoline, diesel, propane and natural gas fuel. Staff will also present the Texas Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan results, where the latest application round has selected 97 locations to receive a total of $62 million in federal funding to increase Direct Current (DC) fast-charging access in North Central Texas.

Next, staff will spotlight the City of Aledo’s request for assistance in paying for city utility relocations associated with the FM 1187 widening project under development by TxDOT. Finally, information on the Regional Rail Crossing Inventory Database will be presented on more than 1,500 public at-grade crossings in the 12-county area, sourced directly from the Federal Railroad Administration.

Residents planning to use transit to attend the meeting can take advantage of $6 round-trip rides from the CentrePort/DFW Airport Station to NCTCOG via the Arlington Transportation app, which can be downloaded at ArlingtonTX.gov/ondemand. For special accommodation related to disabilities or language interpretation, call 817-695-9109 or email kcadena@nctcog.org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting.
