Try Parking It
Try Parking It is a free rideshare and trip logging website developed by NCTCOG to assist commuters in finding and utilizing alternatives to driving alone. You can track various commutes like riding a bike, walking, compressed work week, carpooling/vanpooling, telecommuting, transit, and brown bag lunch. Earn points by recording trips and participating in other activities that can be used towards incentive rewards, drawings, and more.
Commute Modes
- Rideshare (Carpool/Vanpool)
Sharing a vehicle with 2-4 people is carpool. Sharing a vehicle with 5 or more people is vanpool.
- Biking/Walking
Choosing to bike or walk isn’t just a great form of exercise, but also a way to save money and help better our air quality.
- Transit (Rail/Bus)
Ride the bus or rail as your daily commute or to complete errands. Whichever way you choose, you are helping take a vehicle off the road.
- Telecommute
By working remotely, you are helping avoid roadway congestion and saving money on gas costs.
- Brown Bag Lunch
Bring your lunch to work or eat lunch on campus to avoid an unnecessary trip.
- Compressed Work Week
Work more hours per day but fewer days within a one- or two-week period. 9/80 or 4/40 option.
