Transit Subrecipients
The agency partners with transit agencies that provide service across the North Central Texas region. These projects include demand response, on-demand, and fixed route service to address the mobility needs of individuals with disabilities, older individuals, and the general public. The agency provides funding, technical assistance, and other support for transit providers. Below are some useful resources for transit providers.

We provide technical assistance and oversight for subrecipients, with a focus on working collaboratively to provide to help our partners meet requirements. NCTCOG's technical assistance and oversight page provides our partner agencies with information about NCTCOG's oversight program, federal regulations, and other helpful links.
The Regional Transportation Council is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Designated Recipient for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) program funding for the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Denton-Lewisville, and McKinney-Frisco Urbanized Areas (UZAs) with NCTCOG as the fiscal agent. It is the agency's responsibility to allocate federal funding and include projects in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). When using Federal assistance to finance procurements, the procurement must meet federal requirements. NCTCOG's procurement page includes helpful resources for subrecipient procurements.
Every year, NCTCOG hosts an Annual Transit Provider Meeting (ATPM) to bring together partner agencies. Past meeting information can be found on NCTCOG's ATPM page.
