Local and Regional Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory

Inventory Call for Interested Cities

In partnership with the Regional Integration of Sustainability Efforts (RISE) Coalition, and with the generous contribution from Burlington-Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad, NCTCOG is providing 20 cities in the North Central Texas 12-county Metropolitan Planning Area access to the Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), formally known as the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives, ClearPath software tool at no cost. Participating cities will be able to use ClearPath to produce their own city-wide Greenhouse Gas inventories.

NCTCOG is reopening cohort applications

We are excited to announce that eight cities in our region that have joined the cohort, and two additional cities have partnered in the effort by doing their own GHG study concurrently. Cities interested in participating must submit an application by July 30, 2021 and will need to be a commit to attendance of ICLEI and cohort trainings/meetings/check-ins and collaborate with NCTCOG to provide necessary data inputs.

Eligible Applicants

NCTCOG Member Cities within the 8-Hour Ozone Nonattainment Area Counties
(Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise counties)
RISE Coalition Members (preferred, not mandatory)



Applicant Requirements
Be an eligible applicant (as outlined immediately above)
Attend ICLEI and cohort trainings/meetings/check-ins

Collaborate with NCTCOG to provide necessary tool inputs ​
