NCTCOG Programs
DFW Clean Cities Coalition
Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Clean Cities Coalition is a U.S. Department of Energy (D.O.E.) designated coalition in the Clean Cities and Communities partnership. DFW Clean Cities works to reduce transportation energy use and improve air quality by providing guidance to fleets and other drivers about clean vehicle fuels/technologies, coordinating infrastructure planning and readiness, and facilitating best practices around transportation-energy integration. Regional Codes Program
The NCTCOG's Regional Codes Program includes the Regional Codes Coordinating Committee (RCCC) and its five advisory boards, who continuously review the latest editions of the model construction codes and recommend uniform amendments for the North Central Texas region. Adoption of standardized codes and regional amendments reduces the cost of training codes personnel, streamlines work for contractors and builders across the region, and reduces construction costs. Regional Integration of Sustainability Efforts (RISE) Coalition
The Regional Integration of Sustainability Efforts (RISE) Coalition, formerly the North Central Texas Stewardship Forum, works to engage interested local governments in peer-exchange opportunities to support sustainability and environmental initiatives. The Coalition explores areas that provide participants the opportunity to network, leverage regional resources, and share best practices to collaborate and achieve environmental and sustainability goals. NCTCOG Regional PACE Program (COMING SOON!)
The NCTCOG Regional Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Program is a financial tool that incentivizes property owners to upgrade their facility infrastructure with little or no capital outlay. This financing program may be used to pay for permanent property improvements intended to decrease water or energy consumption or demand. Conserve North Texas
The Conserve North Texas website was developed to provide local governments and other users a "one-stop-shop" for a comprehensive inventory of programs, tools, case studies, and other resources that address water, energy, and transportation topics. This website is intended to help users quickly identify resources that meet their needs while also highlighting “silo-busting” projects that have found ways to conserve resources in multiple areas. Go Solar Texas
To encourage an increase in deployment of solar across Texas, NCTCOG has worked to compile key resources for Texans interested in learning more about going solar and developed Texas-specific resources on best management practices for local governments.
