Pavement and Bridge (PM2)

The Pavement and Bridge Condition Measures (commonly known as PM2) are six measures related to the condition of key elements of roadway infrastructure:
  • Percent of Interstate pavements in Good condition
  • Percent of Interstate pavements in Poor condition
  • Percent of Non-Interstate National Highway System (NHS) pavements in Good condition
  • Percent of Non-Interstate National Highway System (NHS) pavements in Poor condition
  • Percent of NHS bridges by deck area classified as in Good condition
  • Percent of NHS bridges by deck area classified as in Poor condition

Targets are established biennially for these measures as part of a four-year performance period, the first of which began in 2018. NCTCOG agreed to support TxDOT’s 2020 and 2022 targets for these measures in November 2018 but has the option to revisit the 2022 targets in late 2020. The Streamlined Project Delivery and Data Management team coordinates this measure.
