community members walk, bike, and roll to school together. This event empowers the community to use active transportation to get to school, encouraging physical and mental well-being and improving air quality along the way.

Last year, at least 107 DFW schools held Bike & Roll to School Day events. NCTCOG would like to help more schools be a part of this growing regional trend. See below for information about NCTCOG’s incentive drawings and event planning and social media toolkits!

Why Bike Buses? Bike Buses are a simple and impactful activity that help address common safety concerns about students bicycling to school. With adults chaperoning the ride, students can bicycle to school in a group and practice real-time road safety skills.

Once your school has registered with NCTCOG to participate in our Bike & Roll to School Day promotion, we will send you instructions for entering the two drawings!
