Basic Water Works

TDI Instructor-Led Training - 20 hours

This course is required for the D Water License and meets the requirements established by TCEQ for licensing in the Water Industry in the State of Texas. The provider for the course is TCEQ-approved Hydrotex Training Services.

The importance of water system operators cannot be overstated as they work daily to protect the public’s health by providing clean and safe drinking water to the people of Texas. It is the highly skilled work of water system operators that ensures that the water systems of Texas are well maintained to provide safe drinking water for years into the future. 

Objectives

The objective of this course is to review water works operations, public relations, origin and characteristics of water, well and surface supplies, disinfection, storage/distribution, and safety.
