Solid Waste Infrastructure For Recycling Support
The Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) project, led by the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) in partnership with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), focused on supporting local governments in services establishing or modifying organic materials (food waste, yard waste, etc.) collection services.
As one of five recipients of the SWIFR project grant, NCTCOG contracted Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) to develop a comprehensive suite of resources to assist communities in implementing cost-effective and scalable organics collection programs. These resources are now available and include:
